A woman at the center of several drug cases was sentenced Thursday in Mower County Court.
Jacqueline Couture Fisher, 22, of Northfield and formerly of Austin, was sentenced to 25 years’ probation Thursday in Mower County Court for two counts of felony second-degree drug sale. She received a stay of imposition, so her conviction could be reduced pending good behavior.
Charges for felony fifth-degree drug possession in two other cases and a felony charge for failure to appear in court were dismissed. Fisher must serve 80 hours’ community service, as well.
Police investigated Fisher from Aug. 7 to Aug. 22, 2012, when a confidential informant bought varying amounts of meth from Fisher on six occasions for more than a total of $1,000, according to a court complaint. Another court complaint stated an August 2012 traffic stop uncovered two bags of marijuana and led the officer to Couture’s house, where she admitted to having methamphetamine and marijuana. The officer reportedly found 2.8 grams of meth and 0.9 grams of marijuana.
Fisher was arrested on Nov. 30, 2012, when officers forced their way into a home in the 2100 block of 16th Street SE, Austin and reportedly found 0.7 grams of meth, numerous pipes, capsules, tubing, a digital scale, 10 cell phones and a box of the American Legion’s pull tabs.
