Fleeing suspect charged with felony, misdemeanors

Police said chase reached 100+ mph
An accused thief, whom authorities allegedly chased at speeds of more than 100 mph last Friday, has been charged with a felony and three misdemeanors.
Susanne Bryan, 26, of Austin, was charged Tuesday with felony fleeing in a vehicle and misdemeanor reckless driving, collision with an unattended vehicle and theft.
Austin Police received a theft report from Walmart shortly after 5 p.m. Nov. 15, along with a description of Bryan and her red car. Officers found the suspect and began following her from northwest to southwest Austin. According to the court complaint, Bryan ran through several stop signs, hit speeds more than 60 mph in town and even hit a parked vehicle on Fourth Avenue Southwest.
Bryan allegedly backed away from the parked car and fled out of town. Bryan then went west on County Road 28, where she sped up to about 110 to 115 miles per hour, the complaint added. Authorities arrested Bryan after she reportedly parked in Oakland in Freeborn County and fled through yards on foot. According to the complaint, Bryan had more than $300 in stolen items. She has yet to appear in court.
