The holidays are hopping at the Historic Paramount Theatre.

Jane Taylor Academy of Dance will present “The Nutcracker” in conjunction with Christmas in the City at 7:30 p.m., Friday. Admission is $1.

Then we will be gearing up for the much anticipated 2013 Michael Veldman and Friends 10th Anniversary performance of “A Christmas to Remember,” at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 and 20 and 2 and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 14 and 21.

There are still balcony seats available at every performance. We also have space available at the VIP dinner, which will be hosted at the Hormel Historic Home on Dec. 13 prior to the performance. Tickets for dinner and the show are $65, and the proceeds go to support both the Austin Area Commission for the Arts and the Hormel Historic Home.

Also, join us at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31 for “A Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party” featuring Denny Charnecki and numerous other local performers.

Tickets for that event are $13 in advance, $15 at the door and can be ordered online at paramounttheatre.org, over the phone at 434-0934, or at the Historic Paramount Theatre box office.

Events in our 2014 Paramount Performance Series and our brand new 2014 Paramount Movie Series will be announced mid-December in conjunction with the Michael Veldman and Friends performance.
