Austin senior Autumn Laury advanced to the finals in the Class ‘A’ state diving preliminaries for the second straight year at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center Monday.

Laury is currently in eighth place out of the 20 advancing divers as she tallied a score of 212.05 points.

She is well within reach of the top five as she trails fifth place Kylei Grosfield of Bemidji by seven points.

Bailey Dupay of Northfield leads the field with a score of 277.65.

Laury was in 11th place after the first round of dives with a score of 134.45.

Laury took third place in diving at the state meet last year and the finals will begin Wednesday at noon at the University of Minnesota.
