Lorraine Fahrman, 83, Rochester

Lorraine Auguste Fahrman, 83, of Rochester died peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Seasons Hospice.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Heining officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, 1119 11 ½ St. SE, Rochester.
Lorraine Schulz was born on Jan. 6, 1930, in Austin to Ernest and Elsie (Schieck) Schulz. Lorraine graduated from Austin High School in 1947. She received her teaching certification from Concordia University of River Forest, Ill. She then taught at Trinity Lutheran School (currently RCLS). Lorraine was married to Lowell Fahrman at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waltham on Oct. 7, 1950.
Lorraine is survived by her children Daniel (Mary) Fahrman of Fargo, N.D., Diane (Glen) Holland of Mazeppa, Gail Brosnan of Rosemount, Joan (James) Plantage of Albert Lea, Joyce (Terry) Flowers of Rochester and Paula (Mark) Kuisle of Rochester; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Helen Wassel of Rochester and Arlene (Richard) Greenthaner of Killeen, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lowell (2010); an infant daughter, Leone Fahrman; a brother, Victor; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and her parents.
Lorraine was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she served in many capacities. She was an avid quilter, crafter, baker, gardener, Bible class leader and vacation Bible school volunteer. Her family was always a priority and the recipients of fresh baked goods and abundant care packages full of treats. She will be remembered for her devotion to living her life with faith in Jesus Christ as her foundation.
Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Waltham.
The family prefers memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Seasons Hospice.
