Susan died peacefully at her home on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013. She was 65 years old.
She was born on July 11, 1948, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Walter and Rose (Wach) Boyer. She graduated from Albert Lea High School. Susan married Larry Hensche on March 29, 1969, at St. Theodore Catholic Church.
Susan was always a dedicated, hard worker, starting with her work at Queens. She then worked at Streater, Clean-Tec, and was working at both Truth Hardware in Owatonna and Shopko in Albert Lea until her health no longer allowed.
The greatest joy in life came from lovingly spoiling her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed sewing, bowling, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, shopping and trips up north.
She especially loved her work at Shopko, as she saw it as her “social life” and so appreciated engaging in conversations.
Susan is survived by her husband, Larry, of Albert Lea; her mother, Rose Boyer, of Albert Lea; three children Wanda Hensche, Barbara Hensche (Christopher Cords) and Michael Hensche, all of Albert Lea; grandchildren Daniel, Jasmine and Tyler Rodriquez, Nathan Hensche, Alyson Cords and Christopher Cords II; brothers and sisters David (Maria) Boyer of Woodbury, Sharon (Mark) Moran of Brooklyn Park, Larry (Nancy) Boyer of Bringham City, Utah, Alan (Deborah) Boyer of Maple Grove and Linda Stenseth of Glenville; mother-in-law, Norma Hensche, of Alden; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Boyer; and her father-in-law, Arnold Hensche.
Susan will always be fondly remembered as one who gave with all her heart and never expected anything in return.
