Tyler Bruggeman, a former Bruins goalie who is now playing hockey at St. Scholastica, was named NCHA Men’s defensive player of the week Tuesday.

Bruggeman stopped 58 of the 60 shots he saw in a sweep of Lake Forest.

He is 5-0-0 with the Saints (6-0-2 overall).
