The Austin boys hockey team lost 7-1 at Mankato West (2-0 overall, 2-0 Big Nine) Thursday.

The Packers (0-4 overall, 0-2 Big Nine) were out-shot 50-10 in the loss.

Austin’s lone goal came in the second period when Alec Pepper scored his first career goal on a power play on an assists from Sam Bennett and Nick Castellano to make it 4-1.

Connor Poczos had 43 saves for Austin.
