Austin senior Zach Wessels was named to the second team 2013 Associated Press All-State football team Tuesday.

Wessels made the team as a wide receiver as he racked up 58 catches for 744 yards (12.8 per catch) and eight TDs for the Packers, who finished 5-5 overall this fall.

Wessels, who came back to football this fall after focusing on basketball his junior year, also played safety, kicker and punter for Austin.
