The Hormel Historic Home is offering a Monday afternoon musical performance featuring piano selections by MarySue Hormel Harris and her great-nephew Sam Stacy on guitar.
The descendants of the Hormel family will play an informal, 4 p.m. concert, open to the public and followed by light refreshments. Admission is free. Music students and their teachers are encouraged to attend.
Even though the event is free, people should still call the Hormel HIstoric Home at 507-433-4243 to reserve a seat.
Stacy is currently a junior at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He is a self-taught guitarist who has opened for Ron Pope, Ari Herstand and Chris Ayer.
Harris has shared her musical talents many times in the Austin community where she gifted the Hormel Historic Home with a donation of a piano and has been a part of the annual Harris Piano Competition the past two years in Austin. Harris is the daughter of Ben Hormel.
