Jean Marilyn Way, 72

The memorial service for Jean Marilyn Way will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at the United Methodist Church, 100 Pleasant St. SE, Brownsdale, Minn., with the Rev. Sharon Goetzinger officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.

Jean Marilyn Way, 72, passed away on Jan. 8, 2014, at her home in Brownsdale.

Jean was born on May 20, 1941, the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (Woxland) Olness in Milwaukee, Wis. She attended country schools in Peterson and Rushford, Minn., areas. Jean worked at Winona Knitting Milles, Plano Independent School District in Texas and later moved to Jefferson, Iowa, and worked for Greene Medical Center. After she moved to Brownsdale she worked at  Hayfield High School. She was united in marriage to David Way on Sept. 28, 1985, in Panora, Iowa. Jean enjoyed gardening, baking, and was an avid collector of pig collectables.

Jean is survived by her children, Rocky (Lisa) Boehmke, Farmersville, Texas, Randy (Lisa) Boehmke, Wichita, Kan., Ramona (Craig) Gwin, Brownsdale, Roger (Jessie) Allen, Kenyon, Minn., Kelly Allen, Faribault, Minn., Joe (Sarah) Allen, Faribault, Jim (Mardell) Way, Kenyon, Scott (Kim) Way, Cologne, Minn., Pete Way, Oklahoma, Okla., Travis (Paula) Way, Kenyon, Jon (Sarah) Way, Chanhassen, Minn., Brent Way, Fargo, N.D.; 28 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara (George) Hovland, Rushford, Minn., and Beverly (Donald) Olson, Peterson, Minn.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ole Olness and her husband, David.
