The funeral service for Merdis Lozetta Dahle will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 First St. SE, Hayfield, MN, with Rev. Paul Hauschild officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 Second St. NW in Hayfield, Minn., and one hour before the service on Saturday.

Merdis Lozetta Dahle, 93, a longtime resident of Hayfield and Waltham, Minn., passed away on Jan. 25, 2014, at Pathstone Living in Mankato, Minn.

Merdis Lozetta was born the daughter of Nicolai and Mathilda (Olson) Ohnstad in Steele County, Minn. She was united in marriage to Harley Dahle on Dec. 7, 1947, in Owatonna, Minn. Merdis was a homemaker and farm wife. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and crafts. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Helping Hand Club. Merdis was active in her church and Ladies Aid.

Merdis is survived by her son, Willard (Diane) Dahle, of Waltham; daughters, Vera (Henry) LaCaze, of Fremont, Calif.; Susan (David) Osburn, of Fredericksburg, Texas; Lori (Ronald) Duehlmeyer, of Mankato, Minn.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Deanna (Robert) Koch, of Downey, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1996, and six brothers.
