Lyle-Pacelli senior guard Ann Ryasvy took over the top scoring spot in Lyle High School and Pacelli High School history when the No. 5 ranked Athletics topped Schaeffer Academy (3-8 overall, 1-6 SEC) 84-15 in Lyle Thursday.
Rysavy finished with 15 points and six steals in the win and she now has 1,424 career points.
“It was a special night for us to be able to celebrate with her,” LP head coach Justin Morris said. “Ann’s been a kid who kind of started this run and it’s awfully special that she can score as many points as she does, while being as unselfish as she is.”
Sarah Holtz added 20 points and 15 rebounds for LP (8-0 overall, 6-0 SEC), Courntey Walter had 14 points, seven steals and five assists and Brooke Walter had 11 points and nine assists.
LP will play at Spring Grove Tuesday and the winner of that game will take the lead in the SEC.
Rysavy surpassed Pacelli grad Jennifer Blaser for the career scoring mark.
