Another wind chill advisory in effect overnight

Another day, another dose of snow and cold weather.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory, which is in effect until 6 p.m., as a batch of snow and increasing winds are expected to cause issues on local roads.

Snow was expected to end this afternoon, with 1 to 3 inches in the Austin area. Winds were expected to shift to the northwest this afternoon causing more drifting.

The temperature will fall to around 11 by 5 p.m. with blustery winds at 15 to 20 mph with 28 mph gusts.

Temperatures will drop to about 10 below zero overnight, and wind chills could reach 20 to 30 below.

A wind chill advisory is in effect from midnight to 10 a.m. tomorrow.
