Another dose of winter

Another week, another round of winter weather.

After the latest dose of temperatures caused a wind chill advisory this morning, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory from 3 p.m. today until 3 a.m. Thursday.

While the conditions are supposed to be mostly sunny, high winds this afternoon across southeast Minnesota are expected to cause widespread drifting this afternoon.

Winds will top out at 25 to 30 mph with gusts near 40 mph. Another wind chill advisory is likely overnight and tomorrow morning. After a high around 15, temperatures will drop to about 15 below with minus 33 wind chills overnight.
