School honors first Hall of Honor inductees

The Pacelli family has always been proud of those people who took an active roll in the school and the students attending it.

Saturday night, during the annual Pacelli Winter Gala, the school took one more step in honoring those people with the inaugural induction of four couples into the newly-created Pacelli Hall of Honor.

A number of others were also announced as charter members to the Hall of Honor, as they were already part of the Hall of Fame at the school that often was more dedicated to sports.

This newly-created Hall honors those who take an active roll in the school.

“It honors all the things they do for our schools,” said Norm Blaser, who along with his wife, Marlene, was named a charter member.

Initially there were six couples inducted, but only four couples could be at Saturday night’s gala. The other two couples will be named and inducted into next year’s class.

As for what made these people eligible for induction, Blaser said it all had to do with the time they dedicated to Pacelli.

“These are people who continue to work with us when they could have walked away long ago,” he said.
