A pedestrian lost $83 Tuesday night after he was reportedly assaulted and robbed by three to four people in Austin.

According to the police report, the 32-year-old victim was in the 1200 block of Fourth St. NE when three or four black men jumped him, took him to the ground and stole the cash from his pocket. He said some of the men may have been from 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8; however, he couldn’t get a good description of the men because it was dark out, about 9 p.m.

The victim reported the robbery at about 2 p.m. Wednesday; however, it is unclear why he waited. The report does not state whether he sought medical attention.

Police have no suspects.
