Austin man gets 18 months for probation violation

An Austin man convicted in 2012 for persuading girls 13 and younger to perform sexual acts was sent to state prison for 18 months Wednesday after violating his probation.
Brayden William Woodworth, 19, was served a warrant for his arrest on March 14 after violating his parole. He will get credit for 303 days served.
Woodworth was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and sentenced to 10 years’ supervised probation in 2012 and he also registered as a predatory offender.
Woodworth allegedly persuaded three girls, ages 12 to 13, to perform sexual acts on him in exchange for cigarettes on Feb. 25, 2012. After detectives interviewed the victims, who admitted what had happened, Woodworth was arrested and put in the Mower County jail on $100,000 bail.
