Helen Elizabeth Mullenbach, 91, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 28, at the Adams Health Care Center & Rehab.
Helen was born March 31, 1923, in Adams, Minn., to Joe and Rose (Krebsbach) Koenigs. She attended Adams schools. She married Roman Mullenbach on July 13, 1943, at St. John’s Catholic Church, in Johnsburg, Minn.
Helen was a home maker all her life. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, entertaining family & friends and doing mission work.
Survivors are: four daughters — Agnes O’Connell, Monticello, Iowa, Pat DeMay, Georgetown, Ken., Sue Warmka, Rochester, and Joyce (Kim) Bergan, Grinnell, Iowa; three sons — Bill, Las Vegas, Paul (Karla), Rochester, and Randy, Boerne, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; three sisters; Margaret Kohel, Clintonville, Wis., Dorothy (Merlyn) Gunsallus, McIntire, Iowa, Millie (Leo) Barnes, Grand Meadow; sister-in-law — Betty Koenigs, Grand Meadow.
Helen was proceeded in death by her husband Roman, four sisters and four brothers — Julia Beldon, Ella La Court, Lydia Piersol, Vivian Hockens, Louie, Edmond, Ernest (Jockey) and Willie.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, with Father Swaminatha Pothireddy officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. There will be rosary service at 4 p.m. and a prayer service at 6 p.m. on Monday at the Adams Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
