NORTHWOOD, Iowa — A Kensett man has been given 10 years in prison for a crash that killed a Minnesota man.
Authorities say 47-year-old Michael Chodur was sentenced on Monday in Worth County District Court. He’d pleaded guilty in late November to vehicular homicide.
Authorities say Chodur and 57-year-old Lynn Weedman, of Glenville, Minn., were driving in separate vehicles east on a Worth County road on Sept. 2, 2012, when Chodur’s car struck the back of Weedman’s.
Both drivers were injured. Weedman died three days later at an Iowa City hospital.
