Arlouine Lois Hanson Williams, 91, went Home to her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Dec. 13, 2013, from her Adult Family Home in Kent, Wash.
She was born July 14, 1922, in Sergeant, Minn., to Henry and Inger (Larson) Hanson. At age 73, Arlouine married Edwin Williams on Jan. 20, 1996, in the chapel of Lutheran Bible Institute in Issaquah, Wash.
During the time when the Hansons were living in Austin, Minn., Arlouine attended Austin High School and graduated in 1939. She then worked for Hormel for 15 years. In 1955, Arlouine traveled to Seattle, Wash., to enroll as a student in Lutheran Bible Institute, Seattle. After completing her course of studies, she went to work for LBI and retired in 1989, after 33 years of devoted service.
Arlouine was preceded in death by all of her seven brothers; Maurice, Richard, Erling, Philip, Woodrow, Robert and Henry.
A memorial service celebrating her virtuous life will be held at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Austin, Minn., at 2 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, with visitation one hour before the service. Interment will be at the Evanger Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Mower County. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Olaf Lutheran Church or Evanger Lutheran Church, 33504, 660th Ave., Sergeant, MN.
Arlouine is survived by her husband, Edwin, sister-in-law, Lucille (Robert’s wife), nieces, Bonnie Meier, Carol Hanson, Brenda Yestness, Stacy Lee, Julie Davis and Jill Marie Bennets, nephews Jeffrey, Brian, Blake, Steven and Craig and many grand nieces, nephews and cousins.
