Activities and hobbies
I enjoy piano, writing and reading, soccer, photography, church, and being a part of the orchestra, choir, student council, National Honor Society, and the La Bella Vita String Quartet.
Awards and recognitions
I have received the High Distinction award, I was the senior runner-up for the Harris Piano competition, I received the Big 9 Athlete Honor Academic Award, and was recognized for Girl’s State in 2013.
Thoughts on your educational experience so far
I am very grateful to everyone who has helped me on my academic journey and provided opportunities where I’ve succeeded, grown, and learned about myself.
Plans for the future
I plan to attend Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., to study psychology and music. I hope to one day attend grad school to become a music therapist.
Thoughts about your experience with the Rotary club
Rotary was very interesting to attend because I met many individuals who are leaders in our community and learned a variety of new information from all the speakers. It made me interested to become a member in the future.

Activities and recognitions
I have been involved in cross country, swimming, National Honor Society, FIRST Robotics, DECA, student council and Link Crew.
Awards and recognitions
I have received around 20 different recognitions. Some of the biggest ones were being captain of the cross country, swimming, and track teams, receiving the all-conference honorable mention, and receiving the Spotlight on Scholarship Award for cross country, swimming and track. I was also selected to participate in the Society of Women Engineers Summer Engineering Explorations Camp at the University of Michigan, I received the DECA regional first place in Team Decision Making (Buy and Merchandising), and I am a certified lifeguard.
Thoughts on educational experience so far
My educational career so far has been one of much success, but I am happy I am going to be starting a new chapter in my educational career.
Plans for the future
This coming fall I am going to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study to become an engineer. I have not decided exactly what kind of engineer I will be quite yet. I am very excited for college and I am looking forward to all the new opportunities and challenges that will come with it. During my college years, I plan to study abroad and hopefully get an internship or a co-op at some point. Beyond college, I hope to get a job and start a long and fulfilling career as an engineer.
Thoughts about your experience with the Rotary club
I found my Rotary experience to be very fun and insightful. The food was very good and the cookies were the best, but the presentations were always very interesting as well. Along with that, being able to eat lunch with my grandpa was nice.
