Senior Center celebrating hats
Published 7:04 pm Saturday, April 26, 2014
We are all looking forward to the May flowers, planting our gardens and the fun the summer will bring.
On May 5, we have a great opportunity for fun here at the senior center. Heather Edgington is joining us at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 5 as we celebrate a century of hats.
From a delicate bonnet to the sporty boaster, the jazzy cloche to the classic pillbox. This entertaining show is for all who love history, fashion and getting together with friends.
We will be serving a salad lunch during the entertainment. Sign up to come and bring a friend. The cost is $3 for members of the senior center and $4 for non-members. This is sponsored in part by The Cedars of Austin.
To sign up for this Vintage Hat Show, please stop by the senior center front desk, or call us at 507-433-2370, ext.3
Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and a sandwich for 50 cents. Tuesday we will be having chicken and wild rice casserole in the coffee shop starting at 11:30 a.m. for $2. You are always welcome at the center.
