Tennis: Packers edge out Scarlets to stay unbeaten

The Austin boys tennis team rattled off its third straight victory as it edged out Mankato West 4-3 on the road Tuesday.
Colton Detwiler remained unbeaten at No. 1 singles for the Packers (3-0 overall, 2-0 Big Nine) as he won 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 and Levi Vierkandt and Carter Steichen came up with a big three-set win at No. 1 doubles after they dropped their first set.
“It was a great come from behind victory by Levi and Carter,” Austin head coach Troy Diekman said.
