Flash flood watch issued for SE Minn.

A flash flood watch is in effect for Mower County throughout Monday.

The National Weather Service is calling for heavy rainfall throughout the region Monday, which could lead to flash flooding in some areas.

Much of southeast Minnesota is under a watch as well.

The Cedar River was reported to be 4.7 feet deep as of Monday morning and Turtle Creek was measured at about 3.7 feet deep.

NWS meteorologists are calling for showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Monday, with a high of 69. Tuesday should be partly sunny with a high of 56.
