Francis Mullenbach, 80

Francis Paul Mullenbach, 80, of Watkinsville, died Monday, May 12, 2014. Born in Adams, Minn., to the late Michael and Marie Mullenbach, Francis served 30 years with the U.S. Army. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4, serving in both Vietnam and the Korean War. Francis also worked with the University of Georgia for 10 years. He was an active member with both the VFW and Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Krantz.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Mullenbach; children Steve Mullenbach, Kathleen McBride (Kevin), Venessa Patridge (Daryl); brothers Michael and Albert Mullenbach; step-sister Carol Bottema; grandchildren Cassie Danaher, Tyler Mullenbach, Kimberly McBride, Scott McBride (Mandy), Chelsea Patridge-House (Tommy), Jessica Patridge, Hannah Patridge; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oconee Memorial Park.
