Just think, if half the population of Austin donated $10 to the new Austin ArtWorks Center we would raise almost enough to complete our $600,000 goal.

Do your part today and donate online at austinareaarts.org, mail a check to 125 Fourth Ave. NE, or drop it off at the Historic Paramount Theatre.

If simply writing a check is not exciting enough, donate the $10 by joining us at the Paramount from 6 to 9 p.m. this Tuesday for a Yin Yoga and Wine Fundraiser for the ArtWorks Center led by Lindsey Kepper from the Yoga Studio of Austin.

The event will begin with a gentle, restorative yoga session on the Paramount stage. No yoga experience is necessary to participate. Yoga will be followed by a plethora of fun, including chair massages by Chrissy Stiehm and Patrick Whalen, hoola hoop demonstrations by Rochelle Pereleberg, and a didgeridoo performance by Mikey Beau.

Wine will be available for a donation, Tisha Palys will be offering henna tattoos, and wearable art will be for sale.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Yoga Studio of Austin or at the door that evening.

Of course, as the fundraising for the new ArtWorks Center continues, the preparations for the Austin ArtWorks Festival are in full swing.

Our intern, Grace Heimsness, will be writing a weekly article highlighting the latest Festival news. We will also be seeking donations to support the 2014 Festival. Sponsorships are available at the $250, $500, and more than $1,000 levels. We are also offering opportunities to get naming rights to the gallery spaces.
