Power was restored last night after an hour and forty minute outage for 1,203 Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services customers and the Rose Creek and London areas.
The outage was caused by a farmer hooking a guy wire with a piece of machinery.
“It was just an accident,” said Freeborn-Mower Director of Communications Mary Nelson, Freeborn-Mower’s director of communications, said the outage was an accident.
Nelson said such outages are common in spring and fall and said she was pleased no one was hurt.
Nelson urged customers to report outages when they occur.
