An 86-year-old Austin woman was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin Wednesday after a two-car crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 218 and Interstate 90.

Sally Forstner of Austin was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after her northbound 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser collided with a westbound 2010 Ford Taurus driven by Wayne Baldner around 9:08 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Baldner, 55 of Brownsdale, was not hurt.

Forstner’s PT Cruiser was towed after sustaining severe damage, but the Ford Taurus sustained only minor damage.

The Austin Police Department assisted on the scene.
