This weekend is full of fun. You can start with Dairy Days, go fishing and end up at the pool. Get your walking in as you explore this weekend full of fun and adventure.
1. Are you hyp?
8:30 p.m., Thursday, Torge’s, 1701 Fourth St. NW
Hypnotist Dr. Jim Wand, who’s performed at Austin High School’s Project Graduation several times, is coming to town a little early this year. He’ll perform a free show at Torge’s right after Torgo.
2. Adams Dairy Days
June 6-8, Friday-Sunday, Adams
Enjoy countless things to do and see during Adams Dairy Days this weekend. Including tractor pulls, the city-wide rummage sale, poker games, dodge ball tournaments and much more, you’re sure to find something to peak your interest.
3. Take A Kid Fishing
11 a.m., Saturday, East Side Lake
The Austin Jaycees will be hosting their annual Take a Kid Fishing event. Minnesotans 16 and older that attend with a child 15 and younger can fish for free.
4. Cancer Bash
4 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday Lyle American Legion, 112 Grove St, Lyle, MN 55953
There will be a silent auction from 4 to 8 p.m., a taco-nacho bar from 4 to 7 p.m., a live auction from 7:30 to 10 p.m., and music by MC Sounds from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m., along with other events. All events will be held at the Lyle Legion, and all proceeds go to Lyle Area Cancer Auction.
5. Hayfield city-wide garage sales
All day Saturday in Hayfield
Trash or treasure? Come find gems at the city-wide garage sales. The event is sponsored by the Hayfield Area Chamber of Commerce. For more information, call Rich at 507-477-2000.
6. Cool at the Pool
1 p.m., Monday June 9, city pool, Austin
The city pool will open for the summer on Monday. Come enjoy some swimming with friends and cooling off from the heat of summer. Also check out the new climbing wall.
