Grandson of Austin couple wins Class A state boys golf title

The grandson of an Austin couple won the Class A state boys golf title in Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn. Wednesday.
Brock Bliese, an eighth grader from Mounds Park Academy in St. Paul won the Class A state meet with a score of 150.
He shot a 76 on the first day and the second day he shot a 74.
Bliese is the grandson of Rodger and MaryAnn Bliese, who live in Austin.
He is the son of Brad Bliese, who was on the Austin High School state champion golf team in 1981.
“Winning was not on our radar,” Brad, who graduated from AHS in 1982, said of his son. “We hoped he’s play well, enjoy his experience and learn from it.”
