The Jane Taylor Academy of Dance will hold its 50th annual recital at 7 p.m. Saturday in Austin High School’s Knowlton Auditorium.

Tickets are $6 and will be sold at the door. All proceeds from the flower sale will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This past season, the team from Jane Taylor Academy of Dance presented the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with over a $400 donation.

Students at the Jane Taylor Academy of Dance have had a busy season. Jane Taylor dancers competed at three competitions and were awarded second and seventh place high score overall senior division duet (Jacy Hansen and Madison Hasley), ninth place high score overall senior division (Senior Company jazz). The following received special judges awards:  Betsy Ettinger and the Senior and Junior Company tap routine.  In addition, dancers received a platinum award, 16 high gold awards and two gold awards. At Starpower, which scores on a scale of five stars, the Jane Taylor Academy of Dance dancers were scored 4 3/4 Stars for two routines, 4 1/2 Stars for four routines and 4 1/4 Stars for three routines.

Students competing were: Dariel Bustad, Betsy Ettinger, Dorothy Stevens, Laura Ferguson, Christina Hernandez, Tehya Kvam, Jacy Hansen, Aidan Eastlee, Madison Hasley, Lauren Riskedahl, Emily Conroy, Micha Weber, Siri Ansorge, Joseph Seeman, Levi Seeman, Lilly Nystel, Fayth Nystel,Jordan Harmon, Clarissa Madden, Ashley Augustin and Molly Berglund.
