Sistek

Lillian was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Iowa, to James and Minnie (Belshan) Viktora. She attended school in London, Lyle and Austin, Minn. She was united in marriage to Frank Sistek on June 18, 1941, in Owatonna, Minn. They farmed in Freeborn County until they moved to Cass Lake, Minn., in 1960. They farmed until Frank’s death. In 1997, Lillian moved to Midge Lake Estates and lived there until 2006, when she moved to Cass Lake. When her health started to fail, she moved to Touch of Home in Bemidji. Lillian thoroughly enjoyed living on the farm where she was a great gardener of flowers and produce. She loved to can, bake and cook. She would can enough to feed the family for a year. One of her favorite things to do was to walk the hay fields and trap gophers. Time spent with her family was a blessing to her. She loved to keep her grandchildren for the summers.
