RUSH CITY — A Wisconsin pilot is OK after a vintage plane crashed during the Rush City Fly-in in east-central Minnesota over the weekend.

The Chisago County sheriff’s office says the 1936 Tailor J2 airplane was trying to land Sunday morning when it veered off the runway at the Rush City Airport into a deep drainage ditch.

The recently restored aircraft sustained front end damage, including a broken propeller and broken landing gear.
