A small fire in a fryer at Jim’s MarketPlace was put out by employees Tuesday night.

Austin Fire Chief Jim McCoy said the fire started shortly after 6 p.m., but the fryer’s extinguishing system and an employee with a fire extinguisher put out the flames before firefighters responded.

McCoy said it appears no one was injured by the fire.
