Lynn McAlister, 68, of The Villages, Fla., passed away peacefully on July 21, 2014.

He was born on Jan. 14, 1946, and graduated from Austin High School in 1964. Lynn’s career took him from Hormel to The Kaye Corp. and finally Snapper.
Lynn was a long-time resident of St. Louis, Mo. In 2011, Lynn and his wife, Linda, moved to The Villages in Florida where he actively pursued his love of golf, Pickle Ball and Bud Light. Lynn loved to set goals for himself but his biggest goal in life was to bring a smile to anyone and everyone he encountered. He cherished his trips to Minnesota to spend time with his grandkids and his annual fishing trip to Canada.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons Jim (Tracie) of Minneapolis, Dan (Julie) of Plymouth; grandchildren Maggie, Sadie and Owen; brother Robert (Shirley) of Grand Marais.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jo; brother Herb; and Grandson Evan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
