The 90th annual Hendrikson family reunion was held on Aug. 16 in Austin, Minn. at the Veteran’s Memorial Pavilion.

About 100 descendants of Norwegian Immigrant Iver Hendrikson (former resident of Northwood, Worth County, Iowa) and his eight children met. Descendants of fourth through the sixth generations attended.

A business meeting was held celebrating the history of the reunion, a discussion of a pictorial directory being written, a transition plan for keeping updated contact information for the hundreds of living relatives and plans for the following year’s reunion took place.

A generous potluck meal followed as well as the annual family picture. Many acquaintances were reunited and connections made with extended family members.
