Hounds blank Royals, move closer to state tournament

The Austin Greyhounds are one win from the Class B state tournament.
The No. 3 seeded Hounds blanked the No. 2 seeded Rochester Royals 9-0 in a Section 4B tournament game in Rochester Wednesday.
Joe Huffman pitched five scoreless innings for Austin (15-15 overall) and Alex Kasak threw four shutout innings in relief.
Matt Cano homered and drove in three runs for the Hounds.
The Hounds will play at the top-seeded Mankato Mets Friday at 7:30 p.m.
