The Mower County Fair Talent Contest is open for entries from talented local residents.

There are three divisions: pre-teen, teen, and open. Awards and cash prizes will be given for the top three in each division. The winner of each division will advance to represent Mower County at the Minnesota State Fair.

Unlike previous years, entry into the contests is free. Other changes include an increase of prize money, more awards, and the winner in each division will also receive two admission tickets to the Minnesota State Fair.

Forms are available at the fair office, Apold Music, or by calling 507-433-1868. Entries must be received by Aug. 8.

The Mower County Fair Talent Contest will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug 9 at the Farm Bureau Stage.
