Lenze allegedly stabbed a 24-year-old Albert Lea man. The man, who suffered stab wounds deemed not life-threatening, was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for treatment.

J.D. Carlson, deputy director of police with the Albert Lea Police Department, said alcohol was a factor.

Police were initially dispatched at 2:17 a.m. Sunday to an unknown emergency on the west side of Albert Lea. Dispatchers received a call with lots of yelling. Officers checked the area but found nothing of concern.

At 2:25 a.m., dispatchers received a second 911 call with people screaming and stating someone had been stabbed.

When officers arrived at the house, at 702 Garfield Ave., they found what they described as a “chaotic scene” with multiple people fighting within the house.
