With the Austin ArtWorks Center being open a little over a month, the Austin Area Commission for the Arts would like to address some frequently asked questions community members have had about the new center and how it works with the Historic Paramount Theatre.

The Center is open Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 The Paramount Theatre is not open regular hours. Where do I purchase tickets?

Advance tickets for Paramount Theatre events can now be purchased at the Center during regular business hours. They can also be purchased online at austinareaarts.org or by calling 507-434-0934. The Paramount Box Office will be open for Paramount events.

How do I register for art classes?

Classes at the Austin ArtWorks Center can be found online at austinareaarts.org, on our Facebook page, and at the Center. Students can register for classes at the Center or by calling 507-434-0934.

How and when can I purchase tickets to 2014 Michael Veldman and Friends?

Tickets for the 2014 Michael Veldman and Friends Holiday Performance will go on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Historic Paramount Theatre. They will be available for purchase online at noon on that day. Due to the large volume of sales, we will not be answering the phone that morning. After Oct. 4, tickets will be available for purchase at the ArtWorks Center.

 What are the options to avoid crowds and purchase tickets early for Michael Veldman and Friends?

Tickets for the VIP Champagne Brunch and matinee performance on Saturday, Dec. 6 are now available. The package for both the meal and show are $45 for Hormel Historic Home and Austin Area Commission for the Arts Members and $50 for general public. Tickets for this event can be purchased at the Center or over the phone.

Another option for purchasing tickets in advance is to become a member of the Austin Area Commission for the Arts.

Membership is $60 a year for individual and $120 a year for a family. It offers benefits at both the Austin ArtWorks Center and the Historic Paramount Theatre. Members can purchase tickets to the 2014 Michael Veldman and Friends performance starting at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, and will be available for purchase throughout the the week during our regular business hours.
