The Hayfield football team was shorthanded and it got off to a slow start as it lost 53-0 to Caledonia (4-0 overall, 4-0 SFA Blue) in Hayfield Friday.

The Vikings (1-2 overall, 1-2 SFA Blue), played the game without quarterback Cam Rutledge, who was out with an illness and they were missing a few other players as well.

The Warriors forced three turnovers in the first quarter to take an early 28-0 over Hayfield.
