MINNEAPOLIS — Hennepin County authorities have charged a Minneapolis man who they say drugged and molested a 10-year-old girl during a sleepover.
Authorities said Tuesday that Ezra Taylor is charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under 13, and two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. They say he hosted a sleepover for his daughter and two of her friends on Aug. 2.
The victim tells authorities she felt dizzy and vomited after drinking soda. She says Taylor took her to the basement and molested her while her friends were sleeping.
Authorities say Taylor confessed Monday to putting crushed Ambien pills in her soda and making her undress before molesting her.
He could face up to 80 years in prison if convicted. It wasn’t immediately clear if he has an attorney.
