The Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) is set to hold its first annual business meeting at the Hormel Historic Home from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The meeting is a chance for people to learn more about what the WLI is, what it has accomplished and what the plans are for the future.
“The WLI’s first major community membership push was in May 2013. Since then, we have been working on various projects throughout Mower County and want to update our members as well as any other women in the community who might be interested in learning more about WLI,” WLI Chair Stacy Edland said in a press release.
The group’s focus is ensuring children’s basic needs throughout Mower County. Any woman living or working in Mower County is invited to attend.
The Women’s Leadership Initiative is an organization under the umbrella of the United Way that is comprised of women all over Mower County who want to be involved in addressing issues.
