The Austin girls hockey team lost its first game of the season when it fell 4-3 to Faribault (1-4 overall, 1-3 Big Nine) in Riverside Arena Thursday.

The Packers (4-1-1 overall, 2-1-1 Big Nine) led 3-1 in the second period, but the Falcons scored the last three goals of the game to get the win.

Myia Hoium had two goals and an assist for Austin, Chloe Summerfield had a goal and an assist and Madison Overby had an assist for the Packers.

Austin had 29 shots in the loss and Mara Overby had 34 saves.
