Thank you to our readers

As many of you know, a piece of equipment in press broke down this week, affecting delivery of both the Austin Daily Herald and Albert Lea Tribune.
We at the Herald would like to take this opportunity to apologize and to sincerely thank our subscribers for their patience and understanding during this time.
Understandably, our phones were ringing near non-stop with readers wondering where their papers were, but often the replies to our explanation included a smile and a nod. For the staff of the Austin Daily Herald, that understanding means the world to us.
Each day the press was down, our paper was sent to an alternative print sight and, as you would expect, had to conform to their print schedule, resulting in your papers getting to readers later.
As a media outlet, we strive each and every day to get you the news you want as quickly as possible. With the press breakdown, that made it difficult and so it makes our “thank-you” to you that much more meaningful.
We appreciate the patience and with the press back up and running, we look forward to rewarding that patience with the up-to-date reports and stories our readers have come to expect.
