The Austin boys hockey team lost 3-0 to Mankato East (4-4 overall, 4-3 Big Nine) in Riverside Arena Tuesday.

As has been the case for most of the season, the Packers (0-7-1 overall, 0-4-1 Big Nine) had more shots than their opponent, but it didn’t show up on the scoreboard. Austin had 29 shots on goal and the Cougars had 19 shots on goal.

“It’s frustrating because we outshoot them and we’re making little mistakes that are causing us to lose games,” Austin head coach Erik LaRock said. “We need somebody to step up and start scoring some goals.”
