The Austin girls hockey team opened the Austin Merchants Holiday tournament with a 3-0 win over Mankato West (1-14 overall) in Riverside Arena Monday.

Mara Overby picked up the shutout for the Packers (7-7-2 overall).

Myia Hoium, Chloe Summerfield and Madison Overby all scored goals for Austin, which will play Willmar Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
