Boys basketball: Rebels get past Cobras

The Southland boys basketball team trailed by as many as 11 points in the second half, but it didn’t back down as the Rebels rallied to beat Triton (1-4 overall) 58-55 in Adams Thursday.
Josh Anderson had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists and he hit two big free throws to help put the game away. Chris Webber also scored 18 points for the Rebels (3-3 overall) and Jackson Koenigs had 15 points.
“The kids just kept working hard and they kept cutting it down,” Southland head coach Matt Webber said. “It was a great win for the kids and we’ve had some kids stepping up off the bench. Boyd Mortenson and Lucas Mandt are playing some great defense and doing the little things for us.”
