Boys hockey: Packers edged out in championship at Waseca tournament

The Austin boys hockey team lost 4-3 to Waseca (9-4 overall) in the Waseca tournament championship game Wednesday.
The Packers (2-10 overall) trailed 3-2, bust Jason Stoulil tied the game up with a goal in the third period. The Bluejays took the lead for good a couple of minutes after Stoulil’s score
Austin committed nine penalties in the loss.
“It was kind of a rough game,” Austin head coach Erik LaRock said. “We did not play disciplined hockey, which cost us the game.”
Jacob Johnson had 23 saves for Austin, which had 35 shots on goal.
Daniel Bollingberg had a goal and an assist for Austin, Kenny Ree had one goal and Isaac Arnold, Adam Maxfield and Blake Halsey all had one assist.
